Decanter magazine: 91 points.

Cranberry, black cherry with an earthy note, unripe red fruit flavors, sharp acidity, soft tannins, and a lingering herbal finish. A Pinot Noir that expresses the good old Finger Lakes climate.

A Pinot Noir with beautiful delicacy and cool climate nuances, and moderate alcohol content. The aroma is cranberry, black cherry with an earthy note. The taste is unripe red fruit flavors, sharp acidity, dusty tannins, and a lingering herbal finish.

Malolactic fermentation in barrel, 12 months of barrel aging (100% French oak barrels with 10% new barrels).

Ravines produces dry, classical wines that make the most of the terroir on its 130+ acre estate vineyards. Since 2001, it has been family-owned by Morten and Lisa Hallgren. Morten grew up in Provence and Bordeaux, France, and trained as a winemaker and oenologist before moving to the region and developing the bone-dry, mineral-infused Riesling style for which the region has become famous.

Ravines practices sustainable wine growing on steep vineyards with limestone and shale soils, with minimal intervention in the cellar.

Ravines has consistently been a standout Finger Lakes winery, and its wines have received international acclaim.
