MYER FARM DISTILLERS
Founded in 1868, Meyer Farm is one of the oldest operating organic farms in New York State. Located in the heart of New York's Finger Lakes region, Meyer Farm grows only certified organic grains. These grains, including winter wheat, spring wheat, barley, rye and corn, are all used in the production of Meyer Farms products. John Meyer is a fifth-generation farmer who has been successfully running the farm for over 35 years, while his brother Joe Meyer is the president and master distiller. He is not only a farmer and livestock expert, but also a poet, accomplished pianist and violinist. He brings a deep family history and a wide range of talents to produce and develop the highest quality home-grown, organic grains with the utmost craftsmanship.
Our Grain
We grow corn, soybeans, wheat, rye, oats, clover and alfalfa organically on approximately 100 acres of land. 90% of the grain is sold to other companies for food and spirits production, and the remaining 10% is used to make our award-winning whiskeys, which are hand-selected.
Our Still
All of our whiskies are made in 650-liter copper pot still meticulously crafted by the German company CARL GmbH, the oldest distilling equipment manufacturer in Germany. We also use this still to make our vodka and other spirits, utilizing its 19-plate, 16-foot rectification column capable of distilling spirits of up to 95% alcohol.
