Reinventing a traditional liqueur

Cherry liqueur has long been a beloved drink in Denmark, but Frederiksdal has revived the traditional Danish liqueur as a more modern, flavorful drink using cherries grown naturally in our own orchards.

Rich cherry flavor

Cherry liqueurs of the past were just juice mixed with sugar and alcohol. Our cherry liqueur is different. First, we ferment freshly picked cherries to an alcohol content of about 2-3%. This allows us to bring out the complex, rich flavor and aroma of the fruit.  We then add natural spirits to increase the alcohol content to 17% for a perfect flavor balance.

It has a concentrated, intense cherry sweetness, subtle chocolate flavor and an alluring citrus finish.

Great mixed into drinks and cocktails. Perfect with any dessert, ice cream or chocolate.
